Program Overview

The To'omalatai Family Foundation Fellowship is a program that supports Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander professionals to accelerate their careers in sports, entertainment, media, and storytelling, offering mentorship, hands-on experience, and networking opportunities to help advance their careers. The TFF Fellowship Program will consist of three key components: Professional Development, Mentorship, and Hands-On Experience.

Our Mission

To equip and empower emerging NHPI professionals with the skills, knowledge, and connections to excel and lead in sports and storytelling, while promoting cultural representation and amplifying their voices globally.

  • PREREQUISITES

    • Must identify as Native Hawaiian or Pacific Islander

    • At least 2 years of professional or academic experience in sports, entertainment, or media (early career professionals encouraged to apply)

    • Commitment to advancing NHPI representation and leadership in their industry

    • Commitment to a 3-month internship duration.

    • Demonstrated leadership potential, creativity, and passion for cultural storytelling

  • Fellows will undergo a comprehensive professional development program, including workshops, training sessions, and seminars designed to enhance their skills and knowledge across the following areas

    ACCESS TO EXCLUSIVE NETWORKS

    Fellows will have opportunities to network with industry professionals, NHPI leaders, and global organizations in sports and media. TFF’s partnerships with companies like Microsoft, the NFL APAC Academy, and the 49ers provide invaluable networking opportunities.

    PORTFOLIO DEVELOPMENT

    Through hands-on projects, fellows will develop a portfolio that showcases their skills, creativity, and leadership. This portfolio will be a powerful tool for advancing their careers post-fellowship.

    ALUMNI NETWORK

    After completing the program, fellows will join a growing network of TFF Fellowship alumni who continue to support each other’s careers and projects, forming a tight-knit community of NHPI professionals and leaders.
