We provide year-round internship opportunities for NHPI youth in collaboration with Tusitala Productions. Interns rotate through three key departments—Production, Design, and Marketing—allowing them to gain valuable hands-on experience, learn from industry professionals, and enhance their portfolios. The TFF Internship Program empowers NHPI individuals to break into the sports, entertainment, and media industries by providing practical skills, mentorship, and professional development. By fostering talent in sports and storytelling, the program builds the confidence, connections, and leadership needed to boost NHPI representation in these fields.

  • ABOUT

    The TFF Internship Program empowers NHPI individuals to break into sports, entertainment, and media industries, providing practical skills, mentorship, and professional development. This is an unpaid Internship that can be used towards college credit.

    PREREQUISITES

    • Open to NHPI students or early-career professionals.

    • Complete the application form and prepare responses to three essay questions by the specified deadline.

    • Availability to work a minimum of 8 hours per week.

    • Commitment to a 3-month internship duration.

    • Demonstrated strong interest in sports and storytelling.

    PRODUCTION (Film, Digital Media)

    Gain hands-on experience in cinematography, directing, editing, and content creation, while learning the intricacies of producing high-impact sports media across film and digital platforms.

    MARKETING (Brand Strategy, Social Media)

    Work on campaign development, sponsorship, and outreach efforts with Interns will support creative projects like graphic design, video production, and content creation, while also assisting with writing, editing, and creating visual assets. The program includes research on industry trends and audience insights, as well as analyzing campaign effectiveness to provide recommendations for improvement.

    DESIGN (Graphic Design, Set Design, Art Direction)

    A graphic design internship provides hands-on experience creating visual content for print, web, and social media. Interns assist with designing graphics, layouts, and digital assets, collaborating with the team to bring creative concepts to life while gaining experience with industry-standard design software and design processes.

    Each intern is paired with a mentor from TFF’s partner companies (Tusitala Productions, Ori Media) and other industry experts, providing personalized career coaching and guidance throughout the program. Interns will also engage in quarterly workshops designed to enhance leadership, technical skills, and industry knowledge, all tailored to support their personal and professional growth.

    INDUSTRY TRAINING

    Gain hands-on experience with real-world projects at Tusitala Productions and partner organizations.

    NETWORKING

    Opportunities to connect with NHPI leaders in sports and entertainment through events, conferences, and team collaborations.

    PORTFOLIO DEVELOPMENT

    Interns complete the program with a portfolio showcasing their contributions, making them competitive for future career opportunities.
