Next Wave Workshops

Our workshops aim to nurture talent in the Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander (NHPI) community by providing access to experts in technical and creative fields. The Next Wave Workshops are designed to empower NHPI talent by providing hands-on training in technical and creative fields. Our workshops focus on key areas such as cinematography, photography, graphic design, directing, producing, and set design.

What We Do

By connecting participants with industry experts, we aim to equip the NHPI community with the skills needed to thrive in these competitive industries.

Workshop Focus Areas

Participants will master visual storytelling, from camera techniques to post-production, turning their creative vision into reality.

Cinematography

Learn to capture stunning images through camera settings, lighting, composition, lenses, and post-processing, honing your eye for visual storytelling.


Photography

Learn design essentials to create digital art, edit images, build branding materials, etc.

Graphic Design

Learn to direct stories through script analysis, casting, shot composition, and teamwork in film production.
